Monster Forge

Most homebrew monsters are not too strong or too weak — they are mislabelled. The printed challenge rating says one thing and the numbers say another, and the table finds out three rounds in. This skill designs creatures whose printed rating matches the maths, and audits the ones that do not.

Tell it the target challenge rating, derived from your party, and it builds the skeleton from the canonical tables: proficiency bonus, AC, hit points, attack bonus, damage per round, save DC. Then it customises size, type, alignment and a combat role, adds traits and attack options, and recomputes the printed numbers after every change. Finally it computes defensive and offensive ratings, averages them, and reports the delta against your target. If the creature drifts two or more steps off, it adjusts the stats rather than relabelling the block.

What separates this from asking a chatbot for "a scary monster" is that every combat number is checked against a band before the block is written. Effective hit points, resistance and immunity multipliers, the flying-plus-ranged adjustment and the saving-throw proficiency bonus are applied in the audit only, so the printed block stays clean. Ability scores stay in range, notation is consistent, and empty sections are omitted rather than printed as "None".

Honest limit: it designs one creature at a time and does not build the encounter or the campaign around it.
