Chapter Writer

A chapter is the unit of work most dungeon masters actually need: one dungeon, one location, one stretch of road, written so a stranger could run it tonight. This skill writes exactly that.

Give it a brief and it reads your canon.md and the chapter's row in index.md, designs a node graph where every node has at least two ways in and two ways out, then writes the chapter in two passes. The first pass lays down boxed read-aloud text for every area; the second pass fills in the DM notes, DCs, secrets, connections and treasure. The finished file carries 7–15 areas, inline NPCs, encounter cards, one DM sidebar, one random table, a faction tracker delta, and a handoff line that lands on the next chapter's opening image.

The difference from a generic prompt is the structure and the budget. Areas run 150–600 words, boxed text 50–400, the chapter 3,000–16,000; exceeding a budget is treated as a defect to split, not stretch. Every encounter must offer a non-combat resolution with a stated cost, and no stat block is ever pasted inline — creatures link to bestiary.md so the numbers live in one place.

Honest limits: it writes one chapter at a time and it needs an existing canon.md to write against. It will not invent the campaign structure around it.
