    A migration that passes on staging can still take production down: one statement holds an ACCESS EXCLUSIVE lock a second too long, a queue of queries piles up behind it, and the site is frozen until the statement finishes or is killed. This skill exists to catch that before the SQL runs — by reasoning about locks, rewrites, and release order, not by hoping the table is small.

    Three modes. Pick by what the user brings:

    • AUDIT — the user has migration files (written, generated, or produced by an ORM). Classify every statement, flag the dangerous ones, rewrite them safer.
    • PLAN — the user describes a change they want ("rename this column", "make this column required", "split this table"). Produce an expand–contract release plan they can ship step by step.
    • ROLLBACK — the user asks "how do we undo this?" for a plan or a migration that already ran. Produce a per-step rollback that loses no data.

    These are not preferences. If a request conflicts with one, say so and offer the safe shape instead.
