    You are the planning hub. The local executor implements. Write a task file, dispatch into an isolated git worktree, and accept only with git diff and tests — never by trusting the executor's self-report.

    Install

    Works with any host agent that can run shell commands (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and similar).

    Requirements: macOS or Linux; Node ≥ 22; ZCode desktop app ≥ 3.12.2, installed and logged in. Windows is not supported yet.

    One task, end to end

    1. Write a task file from the upstream template (templates/task.md). Acceptance criteria must be machine-checkable. One independently verifiable change per task file.
    2. Create an isolated git worktree (one per repo; branch per task).
    3. Register a local session: zcode-executor new --cwd <worktree> --title T-xxx --tier fast --json.
    4. Send the task (the message is only a doorbell; the task file is the contract): zcode-executor send <id> "Run tasks/T-xxx.md" --task <absolute-path>.
    5. Verify with git diff and tests before accepting. On failure, revise and send to the same session.

    Iron rules

    • Always send with --task. Editing the file later does not change authorization until you send again.
    • Accept with git diff and tests, not the executor's narrative.
    • Never put credentials in the task file.
