Webhook Delivery Reconciler & Retry Review

Example session with this skill installed

Use the included sample sender attempts, receiver records, and policy to reconcile webhook deliveries. Identify any retry candidate and explain what still needs human review. Do not send or replay an event.

    Status

REVIEW. The packet contains 2 event IDs, 3 sender attempts, 1 receiver record, 0 anomalies, and 1 candidate for a possible retry. This is evidence for an engineer, not an instruction to send a webhook.

EventSender attemptsReceiver recordsLatest HTTP statusReceiver successesCandidate
    evt-1205030YES
    evt-2112001NO

For evt-1, the latest response 503 is on the sample policy’s retryable-status list, and there is no receiver success in the supplied evidence. The candidate record names idempotency key evt-1, last delivery d2, and a proposed next attempt number of 3 under the policy’s maximum of 3. This is

not proof that the receiver never processed the event; confirm the complete logs and downstream state before any manual replay.

evt-2 already has a successful receiver record and is not a retry candidate. The local output contains result.json, event-matrix.csv, anomalies.jsonl, safe-retry-candidates.jsonl, WEBHOOK_RECONCILIATION.md, and evidence-receipt.json. The tool never sends, signs, or replays a webhook and cannot guarantee exactly-once delivery.

    About this skill

Retrying an event without reconciling both sides can create a duplicate; assuming delivery succeeded can leave work missing. This local package matches authorized sender-attempt and receiver-processing files, builds an event matrix and separates anomalies from possible retry candidates for an engineer to review. It never calls an endpoint or replays an event.

This one-time local download turns authorized sender-attempt and receiver-processing files into a reproducible webhook reconciliation packet. It includes a Python CLI, local stdio MCP adapter, and companion Agent Skill. A run generates result.json, event-matrix.csv, anomalies.jsonl, safe-retry-candidates.jsonl, WEBHOOK_RECONCILIATION.md, and evidence-receipt.json. The deterministic core rejects unsafe paths and malformed inputs, never overwrites an existing packet, escapes formula-active CSV cells, and binds inputs and outputs with SHA-256. For integration developers and agencies investigating missing or duplicate events before a human makes a replay decision. Windows 11, Python 3.11–3.14, and authorized local evidence files are required; mcp==2.2.0 is optional for the adapter. It does not send, sign, replay, cancel, or guarantee exactly-once delivery. No endpoint request, API key, login, upload, or telemetry is included.
