Write this week's update for Harper Studio (Nadia). Week of Monday 5 October 2026. Package is 10 hours a month, I'd used 4.5 hours before this week.

    My log, roughly:

    • Mon 5: inbox, sorted everything, replied to suppliers — 1.25
    • Mon 5: two site visits moved (the Alvarez one twice) — 0.5
    • Tue 6: chased the fabric supplier again about the delayed order, they now say 19 Oct — 0.75
    • Wed 7: drafted 4 replies to clients, sitting in drafts waiting for Nadia — 0.5
    • Wed 7: tried to start the invoice run, no Xero access yet, Tom hasn't sent the invite — 0.25
    • Thu 8: inbox again, quieter — 1.0
    • Fri 9: put this update together — 0.25
    • also fixed a double booking in the calendar at some point, didn't time it

Waiting on Nadia: the 4 draft emails, and she needs to nudge Tom about Xero. Invoices normally go out on the 15th.

Next week: same inbox and calendar work, and I want to write the SOP for supplier chasing.

    Weekly update: Harper Studio

Week of 5 October to 9 October 2026 · Prepared by [Your name]

This week in one line: The inbox is under control and the fabric delay now has a date (19 October), but 4 client replies and the invoice run are waiting on you.

    Done this week

    • Inbox handled on Monday and Thursday: supplier email answered directly, everything for you sorted and flagged (2.25 h)
    • Two site visits rescheduled, including the Alvarez visit twice
    • Fabric supplier chased again: they have committed to 19 October
    • A double booking in the calendar found and fixed

Heads-up on hours: 9 of the 10 hours are used and we are only at the 9th. At this rate October needs about 28 hours. Options: I stop at 10 hours and pause until November, you approve extra hours at [rate], or we look at a bigger package. Tell me which and I will plan around it.

To confirm before sending (delete this section before sending)

    • The calendar double booking has no time recorded, so it is listed as done but not counted in the hours. The total (4.5 h) is the sum of your timed entries only.
    • "About 28 hours" is a projection: 9 hours in the first 7 working days of October (1 to 9 October), and October has 22 working days. Say so if Nadia asks how it was calculated.
    • For the Xero blocker, the deadline (invoices go out on the 15th) does more work than "waiting on Tom".
    • Check whether the Alvarez reschedule needs flagging to Nadia separately; it moved twice in one week.

Subject: Harper Studio update, week of 5 October

    Hi Nadia,

Inbox is under control and the fabric supplier has finally committed to 19 October.

    Done

    • Inbox handled Monday and Thursday, suppliers answered, anything needing you flagged
    • Two site visits moved (Alvarez twice), and a double booking fixed

    Waiting on you

    • The 4 client replies in your drafts, by Monday
    • A nudge to Tom for the Xero invite, by Wednesday: the invoice run is due on the 15th and I still cannot get in

Next week: same inbox and calendar cover, plus an SOP for supplier chasing.

Hours: 9 of 10 used this month. At this pace October needs about 28. Happy to pause at 10, add hours, or move up a package: your call.

    What you get

Turn a scrappy weekly task log into a client update and emailReport retainer hours honestly, counting only the time you recordedWarn the client early when the retainer will run out before the monthList what is blocked on the client, by when, and what it holds up

    About this skill

Paste your week, however scrappy, and get the update your client actually reads.

    What you get

    • A one-line summary a busy client can read alone
    • Done this week as outcomes, not keystrokes
    • In progress, with status and expected dates
    • Blocked, waiting on you: what is needed, by when, and what it holds up
    • Hours: included, used this month, used this week, remaining
    • A "To confirm" list of anything untimed or assumed
    • The update email, under 150 words, matching the numbers exactly

    How it handles hours

    • Adds up only the times you recorded
    • Leaves untimed tasks out of the total and lists them separately, instead of estimating them in
    • Flags when the retainer will run out before the month does, with options to put to the client

    What it will not do

    • Pad a quiet week
    • Invent hours, outcomes or dates
