How The Workflow Proceeds

1. Inventory source files and their revisions, distinguish generated from authored styles, and document precedence instead of silently merging conflicting values.
2. Extract typed primitives for colors, typography, dimensions, radii, shadows, and motion, preserving units, color spaces, and provenance for each value.
3. Create a semantic layer for roles such as surface, text, border, focus, and action states; record component exceptions rather than forcing every value into a global alias.
4. Build the alias/dependency graph per theme and mode, detect missing references and cycles, and classify collisions and unsupported compound values.

The remaining workflow covers validation, failure recovery and an evidence-linked handoff.
