Social Media Onboarding Summarizer
Example session with this skill installed
New client sent back the onboarding form, can you turn it into a brief? Package is 12 posts a month on 2 platforms. Their first calendar is due 25 October.
Business name: Bloom & Bean
Website: bloomandbean.example.com
Main contact: Camille Roussel (owner), camille@example.com
Who approves posts: me, Camille
Time zone: Paris
Best way to reach you: email, but I'm in the bakery until 3pm
What should social media do for you in the next 3 months?
Honestly we want more people booking the Saturday baking workshops. The café is usually full at weekends but the workshops are half empty. Also would be nice to be known a bit more.
How will we know it's working?
More workshop bookings. We do 6-8 a month now, we'd like 15. Also people mentioning Instagram when they come in.
Ideal customer:
Locals in the 5th and 6th, 25-45, people who care about proper bread and where things come from. A lot of young parents on weekends. For workshops it's mostly women 30-50 who want a nice Saturday activity.
What problems do you solve for them?
Good bread without industrial stuff. And the workshop is a proper activity, not a class where you just watch.
Questions or doubts before buying?
People ask if the workshop is for beginners (it is), if you take the bread home (yes), and whether it's gluten free (it is not, we can't guarantee no cross-contamination).
Tone: friendly, warm. Not corporate. We're a small family place.
Words to avoid: "artisanal" is overused, we hate it. Don't say "cheap".
Emoji: sometimes, not every sentence.
Accounts you like: a bakery in Bordeaux whose name I forget, they do those short videos of dough.
Platforms: Instagram @bloomandbean_lyon (active, 1,240 followers), Facebook (we have a page, we never post), TikTok (nothing yet but my nephew says we should).
What content worked before? A video of the croissant lamination got 40k views once. Photos of the bread rack in the morning always do fine.
Upcoming dates: Workshops every Saturday. Christmas orders open 15 November. We're closed 24 Dec to 2 Jan.
Competitors to watch: two other bakeries nearby, I don't have the handles.
Assets: logo somewhere in an email, no photo library, I take pictures on my phone. No brand colours written down.
Access: I can add you on Instagram, not sure how. Facebook page I think my nephew set it up.
How far ahead do you want to see posts? whenever, I trust you
How quickly can you approve? I'll try, it's busy
Who replies to comments and DMs? You can do it, but if someone complains about an order I want to answer.
Anything else: we're the best coffee in Lyon honestly, feel free to say that.

Snapshot
Business: family bakery and café in Lyon (5th/6th), selling bread, pastries and coffee, plus Saturday baking workshops
- Goal (next 3 months): fill the Saturday workshops, which are currently half empty while the café is full
Success measured by: workshop bookings per month, from 6-8 today to 15, plus customers mentioning Instagram in the shop
Audience
- Locals in the 5th and 6th, 25-45, who care about proper bread and where ingredients come from
- Young parents at weekends
- Workshop audience specifically: women 30-50 looking for a good Saturday activity
- Doubts before booking: is it for beginners (yes), do you take the bread home (yes), is it gluten free (no, and cross-contamination cannot be ruled out)
Brand voice
- Tone: friendly, warm, small family place. Not corporate.
- Use: plain language about bread, ingredients and the people who make it
- Avoid: "artisanal", "cheap"
- Emoji: sometimes, not in every sentence
Platforms
| Platform | Priority | Account status | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Instagram (@bloomandbean_lyon, 1,240 followers) | 1 | Active | Pending: Camille to add [Your name] as a collaborator or through Meta Business Suite |
| Facebook page | 2 | Dormant, never posted | Pending: page was set up by Camille's nephew; we need admin access |
| TikTok | Not in this package | Does not exist | — |
The package covers 2 platforms and 12 posts a month, so TikTok is out of scope for now. The croissant lamination video that reached 40k views suggests it would suit the content, so it is worth revisiting at the next review.
Suggested content pillars
| Pillar | Why it fits | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Workshop (what it is, who it is for, what you take home) | The goal is workshop bookings, and the common questions are all workshop questions | 40% |
| Behind the bake (dough, morning bread rack, short videos) | The lamination video and morning rack photos are the content that has already worked | 30% |
| The people and the place | "Small family place" is the brand voice, and it answers "where does this come from" | 20% |
| Seasonal and practical (opening times, Christmas orders) | Christmas orders open 15 November; closure 24 Dec to 2 Jan needs announcing | 10% |
Working rhythm
- Calendar sent: by the 25th of the previous month (first one due 25 October)
- Approval window: [to agree, suggested 3 business days] — Camille is in the bakery until 3pm, so an evening review slot may work better
- Comments and messages: [Your name] answers general questions; anything about a specific order or a complaint goes straight to Camille
- Escalate to Camille for: order problems, complaints, allergy questions
First 30 days
- Week 1: get Instagram and Facebook access through platform roles; collect the logo; agree the approval slot
Week 2: shoot a batch of workshop and bakery photos and 2-3 short videos on one morning (removes the "no photo library" problem for a month); send the first calendar
3. Week 3: publishing starts, workshop pillar first, with booking link in bio
4. Week 4: check-in on workshop bookings and which posts drove them; plan the Christmas-orders announcement
Missing before we start
- Instagram and Facebook access (Camille to add roles; a short how-to screenshot would help)
- Logo files and any brand colours, or a decision to set them from the photos
- The workshop booking link and price, and how bookings are taken today
- Photos: no library exists. Agree a photo morning, or a weekly phone-photo routine with a shot list.
- Competitor handles (Camille could not remember the two nearby bakeries)
- The Bordeaux bakery account she likes, for reference
Watch out
"Best coffee in Lyon": this is a superlative claim we cannot back up, and it invites arguments in the comments. Suggested instead: say what makes the coffee different (roaster, origin, how it is brewed).
Gluten free: Camille says the workshop is not gluten free and cross-contamination cannot be ruled out. Every workshop post should say this plainly, since allergen information must be accurate.
Approvals: "whenever, I trust you" plus "I'll try, it's busy" will break the first time a post needs a real decision. Agree a fixed slot and a default rule (for example: no reply within 3 business days means the post goes out as drafted, except for prices, offers and allergen claims).
Goal versus calls to action: bookings are the goal, but there is no booking link in the current bio. That is the first fix.
TikTok expectations: the nephew's suggestion is reasonable, but it is not in the package. Say so now rather than after month one.

About this skill
Social media managers get onboarding answers back as a half-filled form, a long email, or notes from a kick-off call. This skill turns whatever you have into a brief you can actually work from.
What you get
- Snapshot: what the business does, the goal for the next 3 months, and how success will be measured
- Audience, including the doubts customers raise before buying
- Brand voice: tone, words to use, words to avoid, emoji preference
- Platform table with priority, account status and access status
- 3 to 4 suggested content pillars, drawn only from the client's own answers, with a share of posts
- A working rhythm: calendar date, approval window, who answers comments, what gets escalated
- A first-30-days plan that matches the package they bought
- Missing: every question, asset or link still needed, and who provides it
- Watch out: contradictions, superlative claims you cannot back up, and regulated or allergen statements
What it will not do
- Invent audience details, results, followers, prices or testimonials
- Promise reach, followers or sales
- Suggest sharing account passwords: access is always through platform roles
