Samsung Notes Reader

Samsung Notes has no API, so your notes stay out of reach of AI agents. This skill teaches your agent to read them through the free, open-source samsung-notes-mcp server, which runs on your own computer.

What your agent can do

• Find notes by words, folder, dates, attachments or handwriting.
• Read notes: typed text and tables.
• Read handwriting and sketches from page images. The agent reads the images itself, so no separate OCR is involved.
• Open attachments: photos and PDFs such as invoices and receipts.
• Save copies of attachments to a folder, named YYYY-MM-DD Vendor Total Currency, only when you ask.

It never edits, moves or deletes a note.

Setup (once)

The skill includes the setup steps. In short:

• Claude Code: claude mcp add --scope user samsung-notes -- npx -y samsung-notes-mcp
• Claude Desktop: a .mcpb installer from the GitHub releases.
• Other MCP clients: run npx -y samsung-notes-mcp as a stdio server (Node 20.12+).

Notes come from Samsung Notes for Windows (found automatically) or from .sdocx files exported from the phone app (select notes → Share → Samsung Notes file) into one folder.

No computer setup? Inkport (https://mhemd139.github.io/Samsung_Notes/) is a free web app from the same project. It opens Samsung Notes files on any phone or computer, and its Send to AI button hands notes to Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini.

Limits

• Handwriting can't be searched by words; the agent reads it from page images.
• Locked notes must be unlocked in Samsung Notes first.
