Robinhood MCP — trade via the official agentic server

This skill connects an agent to Robinhood's official Agentic Trading MCP server — the sanctioned route for agentic trading, as opposed to unofficial libraries that reverse-engineer the private app API and put the account at risk. The server is a standard JSON-RPC endpoint, so any MCP client can talk to it; the skill's examples use a small local wrapper CLI whose subcommands map 1:1 onto the connection flow and tool calls.

Reads span all Robinhood accounts — balances, positions, orders — but order placement is confined to the funded Agentic account, which the user creates in the Robinhood app under the Agentic Trading settings. The server supports long equity and options orders; agentic crypto was announced but not live as of late 2026.

Connection uses OAuth 2.1 authorization code + PKCE S256 with Dynamic Client Registration: run status, and if not connected, authorize-url, have the user approve in their own browser (possibly with in-app approval), paste the code from the callback URL, and exchange-code. OAuth state and tokens live in a local file with mode 0600 and never leave the machine; token refresh is automatic on expiry and on a single 401 retry.

Operating rules: run status before any MCP work, discover tools with list-tools before calling them (never guess tool names — arguments must be a JSON object), explore read-only first, and before any order present symbol, side, quantity, order type, and total cost for the user's explicit confirmation. Every order is real money.
