    About this skill

    Run node install.js in any repo and it writes .git/hooks/pre-commit + secret-scan.js. On every commit, staged files are checked for AWS keys, GitHub tokens (classic + fine-grained), Slack tokens, Stripe keys, Google API keys, private-key blocks, and generic api_key/password assignments. Findings print as file:line [pattern] only — secret values are never shown. Appends safely to an existing hook with backup; uninstalls cleanly. Zero dependencies.
