Login and next steps
You do not need a Showdown login for team analysis or saved-replay review. If you later authorize live play, the default is personal password entry into a hidden terminal prompt. Windows Credential Manager is an opt-in alternative using the documented --saved-login broker.
This was a connection and tool-discovery check. It does not establish team legality, a damage benchmark, or battle performance. Use this free companion skill to connect an MCP-capable agent to the open-source VGC-Coaching server and turn Pokémon VGC team data, metagame usage, and retained battle evidence into practical coaching.
Audit complete team sets and legality, research Smogon usage and Pokémon Champions ladder snapshots, and verify numerical damage and Speed claims with the MCP calculators. Exact-team reports and relevant replay turns help separate positioning, control, execution, variance, and roster limitations before proposing changes and their tradeoffs. Source periods and units remain distinct; species ranks are not overall usage percentages.
Carry observed opponent move-order evidence forward within a set. Check priority, Trick Room, Tailwind, ties, and changing state before inferring Speed; keep unknown spreads explicit. Private review and validated reflection can update retained matchup plans or coaching guidance with clear applicability limits.
Includes local setup and tool-and-evidence workflows. Detailed Champions Regulation M-C team building, replay review, and separately authorized live BO3s route to the complete maintained skills in the cloned repository. Other format requests need explicit support.
The server runs locally through stdio. Bring Node.js, a local checkout, and a compatible MCP agent host. Reports remain in your checkout unless shared; usage and replay requests contact their providers. Optional live-play login supports hidden terminal entry or opt-in Windows Credential Manager. No model-provider API key is required by this server.
The ZIP supplies instructions, not the server or Showdown credentials, and grants no battle permission. This is scenario analysis and reviewed reflection; results do not guarantee wins. Host setup varies. Independent community project, unaffiliated with Pokémon or Nintendo.
