Podcast RSS Checker Preflight
Example session with this skill installed
Using the installed 0.1.0 Skill and CLI, check my selected private local inputs according to the included README. Return the full JSON receipt; leave inputs unchanged and do not upload. Seller demonstration: synthetic problem and separately prepared correct samples, recorded on Windows/Python 3.12.14.
- Read your context and instructions
- Compiled the podcast rss checker
Recorded synthetic Windows CLI results
The exact installed 0.1.0 buyer package was run on Windows/Python 3.12.14 with synthetic local files. These are complete JSON results, not a claimed hosted-agent or MCP test. The correct input was prepared separately; this checker did not repair the problem input.

Inspect every finding, correct only a separate working copy, then repeat the documented local check. Use the platform native review separately; a local pass is not platform acceptance.

About this skill
Find selected missing RSS fields and duplicate episode identifiers in a local feed before hosted-feed validation.
DOWNLOAD TYPE A local Python CLI with companion Agent Skill instructions and an optional local MCP adapter. Python 3.11+, trusted pip, setuptools>=68 and wheel for the tested local source installation. Core checks use the Python standard library. Prepare one local XML file; no Apple account is used by the checker.
WHO IT IS FOR Podcasters and technical assistants with a locally exported RSS XML file and a Python environment.
CHECKS INCLUDED
- Show and episode fields
- Duplicate GUIDs and media URLs
- XML and enclosure metadata
REAL LOCAL DEMO The synthetic feed repeats both an episode GUID and its enclosure URL; the output names both locations without printing the URLs. The measured problem sample returned REVIEW; the separate correct sample returned PASS_LOCAL. Synthetic fixtures were run through the exact installed 0.1.0 buyer package on Windows/Python 3.12.14. These are CLI results, not a hosted-agent compatibility test.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE The current 0.1.0 ZIP, local CLI source, Agent Skill instructions, optional MCP adapter, usage guide and packaged examples where supplied. One-time current download; no subscription is needed by the CLI.
LIMITS UTF-8 RSS 2.0 XML up to 2 MiB, 2,000 episodes and 20,000 XML elements. DTD and entity declarations are refused. At most 200 detailed issues are returned. Not checked: Hosted URL reachability, audio, artwork dimensions, server HEAD/byte-range behavior, category taxonomy or Apple acceptance.
PRIVACY AND WORKFLOW The checker processes selected local files and prints JSON. It does not edit, merge, upload or import them and does not sign in to your platform. The report contains narrow technical facts and issue codes, not raw feed, manuscript or contact values.
ALTERNATIVES Apple Podcasts Connect provides hosted-feed validation. This local checker is an earlier repeatable subset check and is not a replacement for it.
Use the destination platform's native workflow after correcting or reviewing findings. A local PASS is not platform approval. No affiliation or endorsement is implied.
