    Example session with this skill installed

    Make me a browser game where a snail on a skateboard collects raindrops and dodges falling acorns.

    • Read your context and instructions
    • Compiled the playable game builder
    • Generated the UI component

    I'll build this with the defaults for the other questions: lose by running out of lives, keyboard and touch, rainy-evening look. First I'll copy the template and read its guide.

    Now I'll write the game sections: config, snail, rain and acorns.

    Now I'll splice it into the file, replacing the old game section and config.

    Your game is ready

    ./snail-skate.html. It's called Snail Skate. Open it in any browser; it's one file and needs no internet.

    How to play

    • Roll left and right with the arrow keys or A/D, or drag on the screen.
    • Space starts the game, P pauses, and M turns the sound on or off.
    • Raindrops give 10 points each. Catching several in a row builds a streak up to x5, so each catch is worth more.
    • An acorn hit costs a life, resets your streak and gives you 1 second of invulnerability. A raindrop that hits the ground also resets the streak.
    • You have 3 lives, and the game speeds up as you go. Some acorns are aimed at where you are standing, so you can't win by sitting still.

    Check result: all checks passed. That covers the static checks and a headless play-through. The play-through showed that:

    • the page loads without errors;
    • the controls move the snail;
    • pause freezes the picture;
    • sound toggles;
    • game over is reached;
    • a second round starts.

    The checks don't judge whether the game is fun or fair, and they don't test touch on a real phone. Please play a few rounds and tell me what feels off.

    I used my own defaults for the look and the controls. If you'd like something different, here are some options:

    • a jump over acorns
    • golden raindrops worth more
    • a different look, such as a sunny day or night rain

    About this skill

    Use when you have a small game idea and want something you can play and share today, not an engine project. The skill builds on a fixed one-file template, writes your game rules into its marked sections, and runs a checker that confirms the file is self-contained and, with Playwright installed, plays it headless: no console errors, controls change the game, pause works and game over is reachable.

    Do not use it for clones of existing games (it offers an original variant instead), for multiplayer or 3D, or when you need a judgement of whether the game is fun.

    Requires: Python 3.9+ for the checker (standard library only). The headless play test also needs Playwright with Chromium (pip install playwright, then python -m playwright install chromium); without it only the static checks run, and the checker says so. The game itself is one HTML file that runs in any modern browser.

    No clones of existing games (it offers an original variant instead), no multiplayer or 3D, and no judgement of whether the game is fun. Without Playwright only the static checks run.
