Pepper Creative Mode for Claude Code

Give creative variation an explicit mechanism

Pepper Creative Mode 2.0.1 is a free, MIT-licensed skill for Claude Code. It uses a self-generated string before a creative decision, then derives choices through a documented arithmetic procedure. The technique is based on String Seed of Thought; attribution and source links are included.

The complete skill, seed mapping references, fair-coin and weighted-choice examples, creative-generation guidance, mixed-strategy examples and guidance on when to skip the method. No external API or special tool is required.

Install and use

Extract the ZIP into ~/.claude/skills/, preserving its folder. Restart Claude Code and ask: “Use Pepper Creative Mode. Give me five distinct naming directions for this product, then one name for each direction.”

This edition targets Claude Code; its methodology is shared with the other host edition. Install only one edition per host.

Limits

The skill is intended for tasks where variation helps. Skip factual lookup, arithmetic, debugging, extraction and other tasks with one correct answer. A self-generated seed does not provide cryptographic randomness or guarantee a statistical distribution for every model. It does not guarantee original ideas or business results.
