PDF Content Search for macOS

Ask your agent "find the invoice from Telekom" or "which contract mentions the notice period" and it answers with the document, the page and the matching passage.

The search runs in PDF Content Search, a native macOS app that indexes PDFs, scanned documents (OCR), images, text files and Apple Mail including attachments. Indexing, OCR and search happen on your Mac.

What this skill teaches your agent

• Search first, read second: search_documents, search_mail, get_document_text, get_mail_body
• Quote every hit as file name, page and snippet, and say when the index may be incomplete
• Fetch mail attachments with list_mail_attachments and get_mail_attachment
• Never delete documents, clear the index or change settings unless you ask for it
• create_mail_draft is the only write tool: it puts a draft into Apple Mail and never sends

How it connects

The app ships an MCP bridge (stdio) and a REST API. In Settings → Integrations, one click sets up Claude Desktop; for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex CLI, VS Code and other MCP clients the skill contains the configuration. The bridge talks to the app on 127.0.0.1 with a token. No relay server, no extra account.
