OKR & Metrics Writer
Write OKRs where the key results are measurable outcomes — not task lists in disguise — with metrics that isolate your team's contribution.

Sample input
We need OKRs for the engineering team. The goal is to improve site reliability. Our current uptime is 98 percent and we want to reach 99.9 percent.
Sample output
Objective: Achieve Gold-Standard Site Reliability. KR1: Increase uptime from 98% to 99.9% (Lagging). KR2: Reduce Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) from 45m to <5m (Leading). KR3: Implement automated rollback for 100% of failed deployments (Counter-metric).

About This Skill
Most OKRs are task lists in disguise — 'launch the new dashboard' isn't a key result, it's a deliverable. The difference matters because tasks can be completed while the underlying outcome never improves, and the OKR system is supposed to make that visible, not obscure it. This skill writes OKRs where the objective describes the change in the world, the key results are measurable outcomes that can only be hit by achieving the objective (not just by working hard), and each KR has a clear owner and measurement method. It also surfaces the instrumentation gap — which KRs require metrics you're not currently collecting — and the gaming risk — which KRs could be hit in ways that don't actually represent success. Describe your team's goals and context; get back OKRs you can run a real quarterly review against.
Use Cases
- Convert task-based deliverables into measurable outcome KRs
- Identify leading indicators for lagging business goals
- Define counter-metrics to prevent unintended system gaming
- Build metric trees to trace team impact to corporate goals
Known Limitations
- Cannot integrate directly with live BI tools or spreadsheets. - Requires manual input of historical metric benchmarks for accuracy.
