NestJS Skills: OOP and Design Patterns

A free, MIT-licensed agent skill for object design and behavior-preserving refactoring in NestJS and TypeScript. It guides work on controllers, providers, use cases, entities, value objects, repositories, adapters, factories, strategies, handlers and tests.

The workflow inspects repository instructions, installed versions, callers, tests and module wiring before recommending a design. It diagnoses concrete problems such as invariant leakage, hidden dependencies, duplicated decisions, inheritance misuse and leaky abstractions.

Apply SOLID as diagnostic questions, prefer composition over inheritance, encapsulate domain invariants and select patterns only when real variation or boundaries justify the added complexity. When a pattern is unnecessary, recommend the direct implementation.

Refactoring starts with behavior and contract checks, changes one justified seam, preserves unrelated work and verifies the affected boundaries. Included references cover OOP and SOLID, object design, pattern selection, NestJS-native patterns, and smells and refactoring.
