Moonlit Book Workflow

A companion skill for the Moonlit Stories application. It guides Codex through a resumable 12-page personalized English picture book with Chinese translations, a consistent watercolor style, a per-book character sheet, page illustrations and local narration from an explicitly authorized adult voice. Completed books can be assembled into a self-contained HTML reader.

This ZIP contains the skill and reference documents. It requires the full Moonlit Stories repository as the active workspace. Clone the linked repository, open it in Codex and follow its README. On a supported Apple Silicon Mac, npm start checks the environment, sets up the application and installs the matching skill. To install this ZIP manually, keep it in a moonlit-book-workflow folder under your agent's skills directory.

Use Codex with built-in image generation, Node.js ^20.19.0 or >=22.12.0, npm, uv/Python 3.12 and FFmpeg. Local speech models are downloaded separately and need about 3.2 GB. Review the first-page voice audition and confirm the child display name and generated likeness before sharing.
