    Logic Pro Reference (Offline)

Example session with this skill installed

Before you automate it, list every parameter of Logic's Compressor with its documented range, and tell me what Latch automation mode actually does, with page references.

    • Read your context and instructions
    • Compiled the logic pro reference

Example session (illustrative; exact names, ranges and page numbers come from your own harvested copy of Apple's guides).

    One-time setup (already done here)
python3 kit/harvest.py built the local corpus from the four Logic Pro guide PDFs you downloaded from Apple. No network was used.

    1. Compressor parameters
I ran python3 kit/params.py "Compressor". It returned one record per documented control, each with:

    • the control name exactly as Apple's Effects guide prints it
    • its type (knob, slider, menu, button)
    • its range or list of choices
    • the printed page number to check it against
I'll use these exact names when I set up the automation, so nothing is guessed.

    2. Latch automation mode
I ran python3 kit/lookup.py "Latch". The top match is the User Guide's automation modes topic, with its page number. In my own words: Latch starts writing when you touch a control and keeps writing its last value after you let go, until playback stops. Touch, by contrast, returns to the existing automation when you release.

    Why this matters
Every answer above comes from the documentation on your disk, not from memory, and each one carries a page number you can open.

    Next steps

    • Ask for any plug-in, instrument or control surface by name.
    • Pipe the parameter list into your automation or scripting step.

Connects securely to your tools. The creator never sees your data.

    About this skill

AI agents misremember Logic Pro details all the time: automation modes, Mackie Control V-Pot behaviour, plug-in parameter names and ranges. This skill ships a harvester and two query tools that build a deterministic local corpus from your own copies of Apple's four free Logic Pro guides.

A full harvest gives about 3,000 topics and 7,400 parameter records with printed page numbers. Your agent queries by topic or by plug-in (Compressor, Alchemy, Sampler, Space Designer, Mackie Control and more) and gets the documented control name, type, choices and range. It works fully offline, with no network calls. Building the corpus is a one-time, two-minute step.

    Use cases

    • Answer Logic Pro questions with page-cited documentation
    • List every parameter of a plug-in or instrument before automating it
    • Find the official term for a behaviour you can only describe
    • Check control-surface behaviour before scripting it
