Use it at the base of a project, a sizable feature, or a fresh module, before much code exists and the structural decisions are still cheap.

It runs a pre-cut gate before any write, edit, or delete, a kickoff pass when you are starting something new, and a routing layer that hands off to focused sub-skills during ongoing work. There is also a retrofit path for a codebase that was not built this way, which is the situation most people are actually in.

The model underneath is simple. Measure twice, cut once. Most of the damage an agent does to a codebase happens in the half second before it starts typing, and a gate at that moment is worth more than any amount of review afterwards.
