    • Cover calculator: spine width from KDP's per-page paper thickness (white, cream, groundwood, standard color, premium color), full cover size with 0.125" bleed, fold and trim guide positions, front/back safe areas, the barcode box, pixel size at 300 DPI, and a spine-text verdict that includes KDP's 7 pt minimum font.
    • Cover PDF check: compares your finished cover PDF with the correct size to within 0.003", and tells you what page count a wrong width implies.
    • Interior preflight: page count against KDP's min/max for your trim and paper, even-page rounding, page size vs. trim for bleed or no-bleed, mixed sizes, 2-up spreads, rotated pages, encryption, annotations, bookmarks, file name and file size. It also checks the single-sided layout: designs on right-hand pages with blank backs.
    • Listing writer and checker: title/subtitle patterns, 7 backend keywords, a description in KDP-supported HTML, category and reading-age guidance, and the AI-generated content disclosure KDP requires. A validator flags anything KDP doesn't allow.
