Analyze this daily chart of AAPL. It shows a 3-day pullback into a previous breakout zone on decreasing volume. What does the price structure suggest?

    • Read your context and instructions
    • Compiled the jralpha stock reader

I have analyzed the daily chart structure for AAPL based on your description of the 3-day pullback into the prior breakout zone.

    Price-Volume Structural Analysis

    ElementObservationInterpretation
Primary TrendRecent upside impulse leading to a breakout.Bullish structure remains intact above the breakout anchor.
Pullback QualityThree consecutive lower highs/lows on decreasing volume.Suggests a lack of aggressive selling pressure during the retreat.
Support ZonePrice is currently testing the horizontal apex of the previous breakout. The "Role Reversal" zone is being tested as potential new support.
Volume SignatureVolume bars are trending lower than the breakout impulse average.Evidence of supply exhaustion; buyers are not yet aggressively re-entering.
Candle SpreadNarrowing daily ranges as price approaches the breakout level.Volatility contraction often precedes a secondary expansion move.

    Structural Scenarios

Primary Interpretation: A low-volume test of a prior breakout level typically indicates a healthy rest period in an uptrend. If price stabilizes here, it suggests the market is accepting higher prices.
    *

Alternative Scenario: If the next session closes below the breakout anchor on expanding volume, the breakout would be considered "failed," potentially leading to a deeper test of the original base.
    *

Evidence Gaps: Without seeing the intraday flow, it is unknown if there is hidden buying at the bid or if the daily close is finishing near the highs of the range.

    Next steps

    1. Observe the next 1-2 daily candles for a "turn" signal, such as an engulfing bar or an increase in relative volume.
    2. Check the weekly timeframe to see if this daily pullback aligns with a major moving average or trendline.
    3. Monitor the volume signature on any move back above the recent 3-day high to confirm demand.

    About this skill

Educational financial information for adults. This Skill does not provide professional financial advice. Consult a licensed financial advisor before making financial decisions.

JrAlpha Stock Reader turns a chart screenshot into a research note that keeps three things apart: what is visible, what it may mean, and what remains unknown. It reads price location, swing structure, candle quality, relative participation and follow-through together, instead of assigning a mechanical score.

    What you get

A complete, human-readable Skill package: SKILL.md plus the analysis framework, four reporting modes, fictional worked examples, setup guidance, privacy notes and an end-user licence. Source files are readable and nothing is obfuscated.

No scripts, no dependencies, no credentials, no network calls, no broker connection, no market-data API. Your own client and model access supply the intelligence; those costs are yours and are not included here.

    Four ways to use it

    • Read one chart - separate trend, consolidation, breakout attempts, pullbacks, rejection and conflicting volume evidence.
    • Compare timeframes - hold a longer-term structure and a shorter-term counter-move apart instead of forcing one verdict.
    • Review two snapshots - explain which new evidence strengthened, weakened, or left the earlier reading unresolved.
    • Learn a concept - why high volume alone does not confirm a breakout, why a quiet pullback is not proof of continuation.

    How to run it

    1. Use a vision-capable model to inspect chart images. Text-only models can work from your written observations but cannot see a screenshot.
    2. Supply a readable chart you are permitted to share for AI processing - instrument, timeframe, price axis, candles, volume where available. Remove account names and balances first.
    3. Ask for a chart read, a timeframe comparison, or a before/after review. English and Chinese both work; the Skill asks the host model to answer in your language.

Works with Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, VS Code Copilot, Gemini CLI and other clients that load SKILL.md skills.

    Output

Plain text or Markdown: structural summary, an evidence / interpretation / counterevidence table, volume context, missing information, and uncertainty. JSON on request.

    Limitations that matter

A screenshot is the supplied snapshot, not a live or updating feed. Unfinished candles are provisional. Cropped scales, missing volume and differing chart settings can limit or prevent comparison. AI can misread an image; the Skill is written to mark unknowns rather than fabricate numbers. Volume bars cannot identify real institutional activity or order flow. No profit, accuracy or forecasting claims are made.

    Privacy

Instructions and references only: no telemetry, no external storage, no market-data fetching, no built-in network requests. The publisher never receives your chart. Your client and AI provider process your inputs under their own retention and training settings - check them before uploading. A screenshot is not automatically licensed for AI processing merely because a charting service displays it to you. Use only content you are permitted to share, and redact personal information.
