iPhone Duo Hinge-Aware Layout

The inner display of iPhone Duo is regular by regular. When the device is folded, the hinge divides it, and the cameras cover part of it. This skill fixes layouts that break or waste space there. It starts from system containers and adds custom work only where a container cannot do the job.

What it does

• Uses size classes, not devices: multi-column layouts, split views and grids for regular × regular.
• Adds sidebars: NavigationSplitView and TabView sidebars on the inner display.
• Fixes the phone-width column: a narrow column in the middle of a wide screen becomes two columns, a split view or a grid.
• Fixes safe areas: insets that differ on the left and on the right, and the FaceTime camera over UI.
• Moves content off the fold: content and floating controls in book or tabletop pose.
• Uses the letterbox band: controls, metadata or artwork around 16:9 video on the wide inner display.
• Adopts the iOS 27.1 layout APIs: reservedRegions, ReservedRegion, ArrangementView / UIArrangementViewController, ConcentricRectangle and UICornerConfiguration.

How it works

1. A read-only scan and an SDK check show what compiles with your Xcode.
2. The skill writes recommendations. Each one cites the Apple session it comes from.
3. You approve each change. The skill applies it and builds.

Works with

SwiftUI and UIKit apps in Xcode. Size classes, split views, sidebars and safe areas work with earlier SDKs. Reserved regions and arrangements need the iOS 27.1 SDK.
