Hermes Weixin Gateway

A guided setup skill for connecting Hermes Agent to personal WeChat through Tencent iLink. It starts with deployment choices, checks the gateway host, walks through Hermes and model setup, presents a QR login for the user to approve, configures private-message access and verifies the first reply.

Choose a local gateway, an always-on VPS, or a hybrid arrangement with an optional SSH tunnel back to a workstation. The package includes QR-login and environment-configuration helpers, preflight and sanitization scripts, setup templates and troubleshooting references. It supports Linux and macOS hosts with Hermes, Python and access to Tencent iLink services.

Extract the complete folder to your Hermes skills directory, keeping scripts, templates and references together. Ask: Set up my WeChat connection using hermes-weixin-gateway. The workflow begins with architecture choices before installation.

This is advanced account and infrastructure setup: review and approve credential storage or transfer, persistent gateway installation, access-policy changes and optional SSH keys/tunnels. You must approve the QR login on your own phone. Use pairing or an owner allowlist. Ordinary WeChat groups are generally unsupported and disabled by default.

Upstream version 1.1.0; MIT declared in skill metadata and README. No standalone LICENSE file exists upstream. Packaging review did not perform a live gateway login or runtime test.
