Follow-up drafts
Jason, good meeting you at the summit. As promised, Mei will send the pilot deck by Nov 6.
Aina, thanks for the offer of a spring meetup slot. I would like to take it; can we agree a topic next week?

- Move the 3 actions to your task tracker.

About this skill
After a conference, workshop or client meeting, the notes are scattered across your phone, a name was misheard and the actions have no owner. A week later nothing has been sent and nothing has moved. Hallnote captures the signal while it happens and turns it into owned actions and follow-ups.
What it does
- One dated file per event day at
notes/events/YYYY-MM-DD-<event-slug>.md, append only, never overwritten. - Timestamped entries with type, source, the real point, why it matters and the next action.
- Session index at the top of the file: time, title, speaker, slides or link and a one-line takeaway.
- Consent first before any audio or video recording or AI note-taker; no consent means notes only.
- Actions with one owner and a due date; "the team" is not accepted as an owner.
- People list with name as given, role, organisation, how you met and what was promised; uncaught names stay
unknown.
How it works
- Open the file with event, venue, host and your role.
- Capture fast, save first, splitting a dump of several points into separate entries and clarifying later.
- Compress, do not transcribe: conclusions, deadlines and exact numbers over filler.
- Digest the whole file into one page saved under
## Digest, then draft one follow-up per person or group.
Frameworks & tools
Plain Markdown files in your notes folder. Actions can be moved to your task tracker or calendar if you ask.
Why this beats prompting it yourself
Asking an assistant to "take notes" often produces a transcript nobody rereads. Hallnote forces one signal per entry with why it matters, refuses to guess names and asks once for missing owners before a meeting ends.
Use cases
- Conferences and meetups with a session index and follow-up drafts.
- Hackathons with judging signals, rules and deadline changes.
- Client meetings with decisions and scope changes first, minutes the same day.
- Multi-day events with one file per day and a final digest.
Known limitations
Not for transcribing recorded audio or video files. Follow-ups are drafts only; you send them. No profiling or scraping of people after the event.
