Go-To-Market Plan — One-Pager + 30-Day Experiments
Example session with this skill installed
Write the GTM one-pager. Facts below are copied from plausible.io (home/pricing, /about, /for-freelancers-agencies, /white-label-web-analytics) on 20 Oct 2026. The goal is my own target for this test.
offer: Plausible Analytics for agencies: simple, privacy-friendly, EU-hosted Google Analytics alternative; manage every client site from one account. Plans at 10k monthly pageviews, monthly billing: Starter $9/mo (1 site), Growth $14/mo (up to 3 sites, 3 team members), Business $19/mo (up to 10 sites, 10 members, Consolidated View, Stats API, funnels). Enterprise = quote, for 10+ sites, Sites API, managed proxy. 30-day free trial, no credit card.
icp: web, SEO and WordPress agencies and freelancers managing 5-50 client sites, mostly EU clients, who install GA4 by default and then spend time explaining it to clients
goal: 10 agencies running Plausible on at least one client site, alongside GA4, within 30 days
channels: preferred: the agency page and compare pages (vs GA4, vs Matomo, vs Cloudflare), blog, X/Bluesky/Mastodon/LinkedIn, WordPress plugin, Google Tag Manager template
proof: 21k paying subscribers; 313B tracked pageviews; 99.99% uptime (last 90 days); script "54 times smaller than Google Analytics"; open source; built and hosted in the EU; "GDPR, CCPA and PECR compliant out of the box" (same page: "it's best to check with your local legal consultants"); Tom Greenwood, MD at Wholegrain Digital: "our default analytics tool will be Plausible"; Cyrus Shepard: "SOOOO easy to use (for clients too)"; reselling access: "contact us first"
constraints: team of 10, self-funded; "never spent a cent on advertising, affiliates or paid endorsements" (so no paid ads); 30 days
competitors: Google Analytics 4, Matomo, Cloudflare Web Analytics (names only)
- Read your context and instructions
- Compiled the go-to-market plan
GTM brief: Plausible Analytics for agencies
ICP: web, SEO and WordPress agencies and freelancers managing 5-50 client sites, mostly EU clients, GA4 installed by default
Goal: 10 agencies running Plausible on at least one client site, alongside GA4, within 30 days
Constraints: team of 10, self-funded; no paid ads (never used them); 30 days
Generated: 20 Oct 2026 · Draft for human verification — not a forecast
Sources: plausible.io home/pricing, /about, /for-freelancers-agencies, /white-label-web-analytics (read 20 Oct 2026). Not affiliated with Plausible.
1. One-line positioning
For agencies tired of explaining GA4 to clients: analytics every client can read, with no cookie banner for analytics, run for every client site from one account.
Assumptions flagged: "readable in 30 seconds" and "no banner needed" are the vendor's own claims, not measured here.
2. ICP snapshot
- Primary: owners and leads of small web, SEO and WordPress agencies (5-50 client sites) who set up analytics for clients
- Secondary: freelancers who build a site and hand it over (site ownership transfer is supported)
- Disqualifiers: agencies over 10 sites expecting the $19 plan (above 10 it is an Enterprise quote); agencies that want to resell Plausible access without asking first (the agency page says contact them); clients whose reporting must stay inside GA4 (hypothesis, verify in calls)
- Trigger events: a client asks why sessions went up but pageviews went down; a new EU client site needs a cookie-consent decision; a rebuild or migration where analytics is reinstalled; a client asks for monthly reports
3. Messaging pillars
| Pillar | Claim (hypothesis) | Proof available? | Objection it answers |
|---|---|---|---|
| One account for every client site | Business ($19/mo) covers up to 10 sites and 10 members with a Consolidated View; Enterprise tiers above that | yes (pricing + agency page) | "We have 40 client sites. Will this get expensive?" (Enterprise is quote-only: hello@plausible.io) |
| No consent banner for analytics | You can drop the analytics cookie banner on client sites | partial (vendor states GDPR, CCPA and PECR compliance and itself says check with local legal) | "Is that legally safe for my client?" |
| Client-readable reporting | Clients read the dashboard and the weekly/monthly email reports without a training call | partial (one public quote, Cyrus Shepard; no support-time data) | "My clients already have GA4 and it's free." |
4. Channel bets (ranked)
Agency + compare pages (owned search) — the pages exist and match the "GA4 alternative" job · First experiment: add a "run it next to GA4 on one client site for 30 days" checklist and CTA to /for-freelancers-agencies · Effort: low
2.
WordPress plugin + GTM template onboarding — the agency page names both as install paths · First experiment: a 3-email agency sequence (reports, shared links, ownership models) for trial accounts that add 3+ sites · Effort: medium
3.
Agency switch stories (word of mouth) — the /about page says growth comes from recommendations, and Wholegrain Digital already said it publicly · First experiment: ask 10 agency customers for a one-paragraph "why we switched" story and permission to quote · Effort: medium
4.
Founder and brand social (X, Bluesky, Mastodon, LinkedIn) — accounts linked in the site footer · First experiment: 4 posts, one per pillar plus one story, each linking the agency page with a UTM tag · Effort: low
5. 30-day experiment plan
| Week | Experiment | Owner | Signal to watch | Kill / continue rule |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Agency-page checklist + CTA live; UTM on every link | [marketing owner] | trials started from the agency page (own goal tracking) | No trial from the page by day 7: rewrite the CTA once, then judge in week 4 |
| 2 | 3-email sequence to trials with 3+ sites | [lifecycle owner] | replies; email reports or shared links set up during the trial | No replies and no report set-ups after the first 20 sends: stop the sequence |
| 3 | Ask 10 agency customers for a switch story | [founder] | stories agreed with permission to quote | Nobody agrees after all 10 asks: drop the channel this month |
| 4 | 4 social posts; count agencies live vs goal | [founder] | agencies with 1+ client site live (goal: 10) | Under 10 by day 30: keep the best channel of weeks 1-3, drop the rest |
6. Launch checklist
- Offer page: agency-page checklist and CTA live
- ICP list or outreach source: this month's trial accounts with 3+ sites (your own data)
- Demo / sample path: the public live demo dashboard
- Tracking: UTM tags on every link; goal "trial started from agency page"
- Proof assets labelled: quotes and plan facts real (plausible.io, 20 Oct 2026); support time saved = placeholder, no data yet
7. Risks and open questions
- GA4 is free and the default. The switch case rests on time saved, which has no measured proof yet: collect one agency's before/after support time.
- "No banner" depends on the jurisdiction, and Plausible itself says check with local legal. Keep compliance promises out of agency copy.
- Matomo and Cloudflare Web Analytics: only names were supplied, so no differences are claimed. Read the compare pages before using them.
- Above 10 sites the price is a quote, which may stall agencies with 11-50 sites. Open question: publish one worked agency-tier example?
- Reselling needs Plausible's OK first, so the offer stays "bundle reporting in your retainer".
8. Suggested next step
Ship the week-1 checklist and UTM links on the agency page, then pull this month's trial accounts with 3+ sites as the week-2 email list.
Connects securely to your tools. The creator never sees your data.
About this skill
Validate first → Market Check; then plan → GTM One-Pager.
Unlike free GTM templates and "act as a CMO" prompts, this skill writes only from what you give it: every messaging claim gets a Proof column (yes / partial / no), competitors appear only if you name them, and instead of invented CAC, conversion or revenue numbers you get a 4-week test plan with a kill/continue rule for each week.
Sample run: Plausible Analytics for agencies (facts copied from plausible.io pricing, /about, agency and white-label pages on 20 Oct 2026; the goal of 10 agencies in 30 days is our test input; not affiliated with Plausible):
- Positioning: "For agencies tired of explaining GA4 to clients: analytics every client can read, with no cookie banner for analytics, run for every client site from one account."
- ICP: small web, SEO and WordPress agencies with 5-50 client sites, mostly EU clients Disqualified: agencies over 10 sites expecting the $19 plan (above 10 it is an Enterprise quote) · agencies that want to resell access without asking first (the agency page says contact them)
- Pillars with proof: "One account for every client site": yes (Business $19/mo = up to 10 sites + Consolidated View) "No consent banner for analytics": partial (vendor says GDPR/CCPA/PECR compliant, and itself says check with local legal) "Clients read it without a training call": partial (one public quote; no support-time data)
- Channels, ranked: agency + compare pages > WordPress plugin / GTM template onboarding emails > agency switch stories > X, Bluesky, Mastodon, LinkedIn. No paid ads: the /about page says they have "never spent a cent on advertising"
- Week 1: a "run it next to GA4 on one client site" checklist + CTA on the agency page. Kill rule: no trial from the page by day 7, rewrite the CTA once
- Risk flagged: GA4 is free and the default, and the time-saved claim has no measured proof yet, so collect one agency's before/after first
- Not written: no CAC, conversion rates or revenue forecast; no Matomo or Cloudflare differences (only their names were supplied)
The full one-pager from this run (positioning, ICP, 3 pillars, 4 ranked channels, 4-week plan, checklist, risks) is in the Example below.
Works in Claude Code, Cursor and Codex · tested on real public data (the Plausible run above) · instructions-only skill (SKILL.md + README), no scripts or API keys · never invents CAC, LTV, conversion rates or revenue · v1.0, updated Oct 2026 · questions answered via Agensi messages within 24h · Build your week-1 prospect list with our Tech Stack Detector (finds sites running GA4, GTM or a Meta Pixel): https://apify.com/cygnix_labs/website-tech-stack-detector
Strategy decks rarely turn into a first test. This skill turns your offer, ICP and constraints into a one-page go-to-market plan you can start on Monday.
What it does
- Positioning: a one-line value proposition and category, with the assumptions behind it flagged. It positions you only against competitors you name.
- ICP: primary and secondary buyers, jobs-to-be-done, disqualifiers and trigger events.
- Messaging pillars: 3 claims, each marked as a hypothesis, with the proof you have (yes / partial / no) and the objection it answers.
- Channel bets: 3-5 channels ranked, each with why, a first experiment and the effort.
- 30-day plan: one experiment per week with an owner, a signal to watch and a kill/continue rule, plus a launch checklist and risks.
How it works
- Give it the offer and ICP (required), plus your goal, channels, proof, constraints and competitors if you have them.
- It applies your budget, team and channel limits, so ruled-out channels (for example paid ads) stay out.
- You get a Markdown one-pager: positioning, ICP, pillars table, ranked channels, 4-week plan, checklist, risks and one next step, ready to brief a team or a VA.
Who it's for
SaaS founders, product marketers and agency owners launching a product, feature or service. Not for financial modelling, revenue forecasts or regulated financial advice.
