FORTRESS Measure: Few Numbers, Honestly

A dashboard with forty metrics is a way of never finding out whether anything worked. This tracks few numbers and asks one question of each: durable, or just noise?

The rule in section 5 is the one that does the pruning. No decision, no metric. If a number would not change what you do next, it has no claim on your attention. Section 3 handles the harder half, which is killing the activity that produced nothing, and section 4 names vanity metrics for what they are: a way of losing slowly while feeling informed.

It's built for reviewing whether marketing worked and deciding what to stop.
