About this skill
External State Freshness Gate is a portable reliability workflow for agents that read multiple external systems.
It prevents four common failures:
- stale connector or cached data being reported as current;
- one failed source being treated as a total reconciliation failure;
- blind retries of sends, submissions, payments, or other mutations after an ambiguous response;
- uncertainty being hidden behind a confident status summary.
The skill classifies operations as SAFE_READ, MUTATION, or UNKNOWN; retries transient safe reads exactly once; assigns per-source freshness states; preserves authenticated snapshot timestamps; isolates unavailable sources; and emits a fixed reconciliation report with a mutation guard.
Best for scheduled agent briefs, marketplace/CRM monitors, inbox tracking, multi-connector dashboards, and workflows where a timeout may not mean an external action failed.
It does not log in, call APIs by itself, send messages, submit forms, make payments, or mutate external state. It only governs how an authorized agent interprets and reports evidence from tools it already has.
