Discord Community Launch Kit

Launch a Discord community that people understand in the first 60 seconds, join for a clear reason, and return to because something useful happens every week. This kit covers the full launch — not just onboarding: server architecture, roles, a 14-day launch sequence, a weekly engagement system, and a moderation starter setup.

Keep it small at launch. A quiet, clear server with 6 channels beats a large, empty server with 25 channels every time.

Ask these five questions before designing anything. If the user already answered one, record it and do not ask again. Do not build the blueprint until Questions 1, 2, and 3 are known. If the user wants to proceed with gaps, state the defaults you are using.

1. Community niche / purpose — What is this community for, in one sentence? Who gets what outcome or experience here that they cannot easily get in a public feed? Example: "Portfolio feedback for junior designers" or "Study support for language learners." How this changes the plan: The niche decides the 2-3 topic channels, the first-week path, the prompt bank topics, and whether voice channels matter. A feedback community needs a showcase and critique structure; a study community needs accountability and co-working.
