Give your field observations a page to return to

FieldNotes Kit is a set of three A5 notebooks for freelance field researchers. Numbered pages give you a reference for each observation; a dot grid leaves room for notes, sketches and diagrams.

A simple way to keep track of what you record

A loose observation can be difficult to find when you need it again. With numbered pages, you can record where it lives.

Try keeping a working index on a page you choose. Add a topic or location and its page number as you write. When you return to that topic, use the reference to turn back to the original note. Across the three notebooks, add your own notebook label to each reference so you know which one to open.

The dot grid gives you guides for writing and drawing without prescribing one layout. Use a page for a site sketch, a sequence of observations or a diagram alongside your notes.

What's in the set

• Three A5 notebooks
• Numbered pages
• Dot-grid pages
• Water-resistant covers

The covers are water-resistant. The pages are not waterproof.

A notebook still needs your method

FieldNotes Kit gives you numbered pages to reference; it does not create an index for you. Keeping your own labels and references is part of the process.

If you need pages that can get wet, this set does not meet that requirement. Keep the paper protected from water, even though the covers are water-resistant.
