Build the October 2026 calendar for Bloom & Bean from the brief below. Package: 12 posts a month, Instagram + Facebook.
Brief (short version)
- Bakery and café in Lyon, family run. Owner: Camille.
- Goal: fill the Saturday baking workshops (currently 6-8 bookings a month, target 15).
- Audience: locals 25-45 who care about proper bread; young parents at weekends; workshop bookers are mostly women 30-50.
- Common questions: is the workshop for beginners (yes), do you take the bread home (yes), is it gluten free (no, and cross-contamination cannot be ruled out).
- Voice: friendly, warm, small family place. Never "artisanal", never "cheap". Emoji sometimes.
- Pillars agreed: Workshop 40%, Behind the bake 30%, The people and the place 20%, Seasonal and practical 10%.
- What has worked: a croissant lamination video (40k views), morning bread-rack photos.
- Key dates: workshops every Saturday. Christmas orders open 15 November. Closed 24 December to 2 January.
- Assets: no photo library yet, we agreed a photo morning on 28 September. Camille films on her phone.
- Booking link: she is setting one up, not confirmed yet.

Pillars used this month
| Pillar | Share planned | Posts |
|---|---|---|
| Workshop | 40% | 5 |
| Behind the bake | 30% | 4 |
| The people and the place | 20% | 2 |
| Seasonal and practical | 10% | 1 |
Twelve posts cannot split exactly into those percentages, so the mix is 5 / 4 / 2 / 1 (42% / 33% / 17% / 8%).
Calendar
| Date | Platform | Pillar · Format | Hook (first line) | Caption draft | Visual + alt text | CTA | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Thu 1 Oct | Workshop · Reel | "You leave with two loaves and flour on your jumper." | A Saturday workshop is three hours, hands in the dough the whole time. You shape, you bake, you take everything home. No experience needed, we promise. | 30-second clip of hands shaping dough, ending with loaves in a bag · Alt: two hands shaping a round loaf on a floured bench | Link in bio to book | Draft | |
| Sat 3 Oct | Behind the bake · Photo | "6:10am. The rack is full and nobody has walked in yet." | This is our favourite ten minutes of the day. Everything is still warm, the shop is quiet, and the first customers are about to arrive. | Morning bread rack, natural light · Alt: wooden rack filled with loaves in an empty bakery at dawn | Come by before 9am for the best choice | Draft | |
| Tue 6 Oct | The people and the place · Photo + text | "Camille has been getting up at 4am for six years." | A short introduction to who is actually behind the counter, and why the family started the bakery. | Portrait of Camille at the bench · Alt: baker standing at a wooden work bench holding dough | Say hello next time you're in | Draft | |
| Thu 8 Oct | Workshop · Carousel | "Three questions we get asked every week about the workshop." | 1. Is it for beginners? Yes, most people have never made bread. 2. Do you take it home? Yes, everything you bake. 3. Is it gluten free? No. We work with wheat flour all day and cannot rule out cross-contamination. | 3 slides, text over workshop photos · Alt: slides answering questions about the baking workshop | Link in bio to book | Draft | |
| Sat 10 Oct | Behind the bake · Reel | "This is what 27 folds of butter looks like." | The croissant dough gets folded, rested, and folded again. It takes two days before it ever sees the oven. | Lamination close-up, no music over the sound of the dough · Alt: hands folding laminated croissant dough on a marble surface | Save this for Saturday morning | Draft | |
| Tue 13 Oct | Workshop · Photo + text | "Two places left this Saturday." | The workshop runs 9am to midday. You bake two loaves, you take both home, and we make you a coffee halfway through. | Workshop table with dough and hands · Alt: people shaping dough around a wooden table | [Booking link] | Draft | |
| Thu 15 Oct | The people and the place · Carousel | "Where our flour comes from, in three stops." | The mill, the miller, and the sack that arrives here on Tuesdays. | 3 photos: mill, miller, flour sacks · Alt: stone mill, miller holding grain, stacked flour sacks | — | Draft | |
| Sat 17 Oct | Workshop · Reel | "A Saturday workshop in 30 seconds." | Arrive at 9, flour everywhere by 9:15, bread in the oven by 11, home with two loaves by midday. | Fast-cut clips from one workshop morning · Alt: short clips of a baking workshop from arrival to finished loaves | Link in bio to book | Draft | |
| Tue 20 Oct | Behind the bake · Photo + text | "Why the bread tastes different in October." | Colder mornings mean slower proving, so the dough takes its time and the crust gets darker. | Loaf with dark crust, cut open · Alt: cut loaf showing an open crumb and dark crust | — | Draft | |
| Thu 22 Oct | Behind the bake · Photo | "Not every loaf comes out right." | The ones that go flat still get eaten. Usually by us, at 7am, with too much butter. | Slightly flat loaf on the bench · Alt: a flat rustic loaf on a floured wooden bench | — | Draft | |
| Sat 24 Oct | Workshop · Carousel | "Three signs your dough is ready (we teach all of them)." | The poke test, the wobble, and the smell. You learn them by doing them, which is the whole point of the workshop. | 3 slides, close-ups of dough · Alt: close-up slides showing dough readiness tests | Link in bio to book | Draft | |
| Thu 29 Oct | Seasonal and practical · Carousel | "November workshop dates are up." | Every Saturday in November, same time, same two loaves. Christmas orders open on 15 November, we'll post the details then. | Calendar graphic + workshop photo · Alt: graphic listing November workshop dates | Link in bio to book | Draft |
Assumptions to confirm
The booking link is not confirmed. Every "link in bio" and the 13 October post assume it exists by 1 October. If it does not, the call to action becomes "send us a message to book".
- Workshop price is not stated anywhere, because it was not in the brief. Add it to the 8 October carousel if Camille wants it public.
- "Two places left this Saturday" (13 October) is only true if it is true on the day. Check before scheduling, or change it to "places still open".
- The flour-mill post assumes Camille can get photos of the mill and miller. If not, swap it for a photo of the flour sacks arriving.
- Workshop times (9am to midday) come from the brief's "Saturday morning" framing. Confirm the exact times.
Still needed from the client
- Photos and clips from the 28 September photo morning, especially workshop hands and the morning rack
- Permission from anyone recognisable in the workshop clips
- Confirmed booking link and workshop price
- November workshop dates, for the 29 October post

What you get
About this skill
Plan a month that matches the package the client actually bought, and hand it over ready for approval.
What you get
- A pillar table showing the planned share of posts, with the real count for the month
- A calendar: date, platform, pillar and format, hook, caption draft, visual with alt text, call to action, status
- Caption drafts in the client's voice, with unknowns left as [placeholders]
- An assumptions list: every date, offer or claim that needs confirming before scheduling
- A list of what is still needed from the client (photos, links, prices, permissions)
Built-in platform rules
- Instagram: no clickable links in captions, so calls to action use link in bio or DM; the hook goes in the first line
- LinkedIn: the first two lines carry the post, written for a professional reader
- Reels and TikTok: the hook is the first two seconds on screen, not just the caption
- Pinterest: keywords go in the pin title and description
- Alt text for every visual, a handful of relevant hashtags at most, no engagement bait
What it will not do
- Exceed the number of posts in the package
- Invent offers, prices, statistics, awards or customer quotes
- Reuse one caption across every platform
