Example session with this skill installed
Use this fictional, account-level example. A B2B workflow software seller is assessing Northstar Components. Authorized CRM notes say Northstar fits the seller’s target profile (industry and company size matched; exact employee count unverified). First-party event log: an employee at the account downloaded a public migration checklist on 2026-09-12; identity resolution confidence is medium and consent/retention terms must be checked. Public company newsroom: Northstar announced a new regional facility on 2026-08-30. No pricing visit, demo request, buying committee, budget, timeline, or direct conversation is recorded. Classify fit and signals separately, assess freshness and independence, list counter-evidence and unknowns, assign a cautious stage hypothesis and confidence, and propose one compliant next step. Do not identify the employee or claim intent as fact.

Account Signal Review — Northstar Components
As of: 2026-09-14.
Scope: Account-level hypothesis only. No individual identity is included. Use is subject to approved data sources, notice/consent, retention, and communication policies.
Fit versus observable signals
| Dimension | Observation | Evidence state | Freshness / reliability | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Account fit | Industry and company size reportedly match ICP; exact size unverified | CRM note, user-authorized | Review source/date | Possible fit; confirm with approved company data |
| First-party engagement | Checklist downloaded 2026-09-12; account association medium confidence | Event log, user-authorized | Recent; identity resolution uncertain | Weak-to-moderate engagement signal, not proof of evaluation |
| Organizational change | Public newsroom facility announcement dated 2026-08-30 | Public source supplied in scenario | Recent; announcement verified by source owner | Context may indicate operational change; relevance to this offer unknown |
| Buying process | No demo, pricing request, budget, timeline, committee, or direct conversation recorded | CRM snapshot | Current only if CRM is complete | Missing evidence; absence in CRM is not proof of no activity |
Signal quality and combined view
The download and public facility announcement come from different sources and may be independent, but neither establishes that the account is actively buying this product. The download is associated with the account at only medium identity confidence. Do not count multiple page events from one session as independent intent. Do not infer the employee’s identity, role, or motivation.
Stage hypothesis: early awareness/research, low-to-moderate confidence.
Priority: monitor and qualify, not forecast as pipeline.
Counter-evidence: no confirmed solution evaluation, budget, buying group, problem statement, or timeline.
Recommended next step
Check whether the download source and event association can be used under the organization’s approved notice, consent, and retention rules. If permitted, send one relevant, non-sensitive account-level outreach through an approved business channel: “I saw your team may be exploring migration planning. Is reducing transition risk a current priority, or should I close the loop?” Do not mention tracking details or imply knowledge about a named individual. If direct outreach is not appropriate, wait for a consented response or use public account-level context for research only.
Reassessment triggers
Raise confidence only after a buyer confirms the problem and evaluation, or an independently verified buying-process signal appears. Lower confidence if the event is misattributed, stale, or disallowed for use. Record source, date, owner, counter-evidence, and outcome so scoring can be calibrated over time. This is a hypothesis—not a prediction, lead score with guaranteed meaning, or verified purchase intent.

About this skill
Buyer Intent Radar
Identify, verify, combine, qualify, and explain observable signals that may indicate an account is entering, progressing through, or leaving a buying journey. Distinguish account fit, engagement, research activity, organizational change, buying-process evidence, and verified commercial intent instead of treating ordinary activity as a purchase signal.
For each account, record the offer and ideal-customer profile, signal definition, source, timestamp, freshness, reliability, independence, counter-evidence, confidence, buying-stage hypothesis, stakeholder coverage, and recommended next action. Separate facts from interpretation, avoid double-counting correlated events, and retain an “insufficient evidence” outcome.
Use it to prioritize account research and plan respectful, relevant follow-up. It does not read minds, guarantee purchase intent, or replace sales judgment. Use only authorized, appropriately sourced data; follow applicable privacy, platform, and communication rules. Do not infer sensitive personal traits or fabricate prospect activity.
