Works with the AI Agents you already use
BrowserAttach
- Acts on the page: click, fill, type, select, hover, drag, scroll, upload files, handle dialogs, run ordered batches and wait on a concrete condition.

Example session with this skill installed
My admin portal is already open and signed in in Chrome. On the customer page for Acme Ltd, change the billing email to billing@acme.example and turn on invoice reminders, then confirm both actually saved.
- Read your context and instructions
- Compiled the browserattach
Customer record updated
| Step | Evidence |
|---|---|
| Page | existing admin.example.com/customers/8842 tab claimed, released when done |
| Billing email | filled, retained value verified |
| Invoice reminders | switch turned on |
| Confirmation | success banner seen, then both values re-read after the save |
How it ran
browser_discover(kind="browsers")- one Chrome profile;kind="tabs"- the customer tab matched by URL.browser_claim_tabon that tab id - handle for this connection, other tabs untouched.browser_snapshot(profile="fields")- every field with its current value, so nothing was guessed from layout.browser_fillon the billing email,browser_clickon the invoice reminders switch.browser_waitfor the saved state, thenbrowser_snapshot(profile="fields")again to confirm both values persisted.browser_tab_control(action="release")- tab left open, nothing activated in the background.
What this proves, and what it does not
Retained text and trusted input delivery prove the interaction reached the page. Re-reading the fields after the save is what shows the values stuck; without that second read the honest report is "dispatched, unverified".
Next steps
- Roll the same change across the remaining customers? The agent can batch the reads first, then ask before each write.
Connects securely to your tools. The creator never sees your data.
About this skill
BrowserAttach lets your agent work in the browser you are already using: your own Chrome or Edge profile, with your existing logins, cookies and two-factor sessions. No separate automation browser, no remote debugging port, no re-authentication.
What it does
- Attaches to an already-open tab identified by browser, tab id and exact URL or title, and holds exclusive control for the duration of the task.
- Reads the page: rendered text, an accessibility snapshot with element refs, a field inventory with current values, one control with its related popup and currently exposed options, screenshots, and console, page-error, network and navigation events.
- Acts on the page: click, fill, type, select, hover, drag, scroll, upload files, handle dialogs, run ordered batches and wait on a concrete condition. An action can return a bounded control read in the same call.
- Handles the awkward parts: iframes by id or nested path, shadow DOM through accessibility roles and refs, virtualised lists via a scoped text search, contenteditable editors.
- Recovers deliberately: after an error it reports whether input was dispatched, so a failed action is inspected instead of blindly replayed; a claimed tab left on about:blank can be recovered without creating another.
How it works
browser_discoverlists paired profiles;kind="tabs"lists their open tabs.browser_claim_tabtakes the tab you name and returns a connection-local handle.browser_snapshot,browser_read_textorbrowser_read_controlobserve the page; refs stay valid while the node and its accessible identity do.browser_fill,browser_typeandbrowser_batchact; native input is trusted, DOM mode is explicitly untrusted.browser_tab_control(action="release")hands the page back and leaves it open.
Setup it walks the agent through
references/setup.md covers the npm install, local pairing, loading the unpacked extension in each profile, the exact stdio entry (command, args, BROWSER_ATTACH_HOME, timeouts) as JSON or TOML, plus verification and upgrade steps.
Frameworks & tools
Requires the free MIT-licensed BrowserAttach MCP server (@evan_zhong/browser-attach, 24 tools), Node.js 22+, and Chrome or Edge 125+ with the paired extension. The server, extension and local Hub all run on your machine and the pairing secret never leaves it.
Use cases
- Filling and submitting signed-in forms (internal dashboards, ATS portals, SaaS admin panels) without exporting cookies.
- Reading a page you are looking at: an email, a ticket, a paywalled article, a local file:// tab.
- Verifying a change in a real session: the saved record, the validation message, the uploaded attachment.
- Driving React or Vue apps with shadow DOM, iframes and virtualised dropdowns that plain HTTP clients cannot touch.
Known limitations
- Input happens in a real browser: while a tab is claimed, conflicting manual interaction in that tab is not coordinated.
- Page content and logs are treated as data, never as instructions.
- Needs a local Hub and a loaded extension; it cannot reach a browser on another machine.
Requires Node 22+, Chrome/Edge 125+, and the BrowserAttach MCP server. Does not support remote debugging ports. Must run on the same machine as the browser.
How to use
- 1
Connect your agent to the Agensi MCP
Copy the prompt and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any agent that supports MCP. It sets up the connection for you. Manual setup
- 2
Sign in to Agensi
Your agent shows a sign-in link. Sign in and click Allow.
- 3
Ask for what you need
Your agent loads this skill and uses it on your task. It always asks before any payment.

Terminal/Shell is only used for the documented npm install and `browser-attach setup`. Read Files covers the local files you explicitly ask to upload. Browser and Network Access are the local Hub <-> extension channel on localhost (no remote relay). The pairing file holds a local secret; the skill forbids reading or printing it.
