About this skill
Other AEO skills score one page. This one crawls your whole site, catches the brand facts your pages contradict, and writes the one source-of-truth page + Organization JSON-LD that AI answers quote.
Description
Google's Search Console Generative AI report (worldwide since 31 Aug 2026) shows AI Overviews and AI Mode often cite a brand's About page more than its homepage. If your pages disagree on when you were founded, how many customers you have, or which phone number is real, the AI picks one at random or hedges.
One command crawls up to 12 key pages (about, company, contact, pricing, team, press, FAQ) of your site. It obeys robots.txt and needs no API keys. You get:
- report.md: an AI-info readiness score /100, every contradiction with the exact pages, and 10 checks
- brand-facts-page.html: a ready /brand-facts/ page with a definition sentence, key-facts table, official profiles, Q&A passages, a "Last verified" date and embedded JSON-LD
- organization.jsonld: clean Organization schema (name, url, logo, description, foundingDate, email, telephone, sameAs)
- facts.json: every fact with its source URL and an evidence snippet
It catches founding year conflicts, customer/user/subscriber counts that drift (plan limits like "up to 10 sites" are ignored), schema vs page phone/email mismatches, a linked About page that 404s, placeholder sameAs (https://x.com/), titles that repeat the brand, and 3+ different "X is a ..." definitions.
Nothing is invented: unclear facts become [[CONFIRM founding year: 2018 | 2019]] for you to pick.
Real examples included (fetched 27 Oct 2026): cygnixlabs.com scored 39/100 (About link 404, placeholder sameAs, no definition). plausible.io scored 61/100 ("since 2018" vs "launched 2019", 22,000 customers vs a stale "6,800+ subscribers" on a jobs page, no Organization JSON-LD).
Example prompts
- "Why does ChatGPT get our founding year wrong? Audit example.com."
- "Build an About/brand facts page and Organization schema for our site."
- "Check our site for conflicting customer counts before the launch."
FAQ
- Does it call ChatGPT or Google? No. It audits what your own site says, which is the part you control. Pair it with an AI-visibility check to see what AIs say today.
- Will it work on my CMS? It works on any site that serves HTML (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, static). JavaScript-only SPAs show fewer facts; save the HTML and use
--offline. - Can I run it for clients? Yes, on sites you're authorised to audit. The report is client-ready.
- What do I need? Python 3.9+. No installs and no keys.
- Is it safe for my server? It sends one request at a time with a 0.7 s delay, caps at 12 pages and honours robots.txt.
Limitations
- No JavaScript rendering. Extraction is English-first and regex-based, so treat numbers as claims to confirm.
- It doesn't measure AI citations; use Search Console > Generative AI performance > Pages to track results over 4-8 weeks.
- sameAs is built from your JSON-LD plus profile links on your pages, so remove partner profiles before publishing.
