    Newsletter Handoff

A manual handoff file has been generated at runs/intro-post/newsletter_handoff.html. It includes the subject line, preview text, and the body formatted in both HTML and Markdown for your email service provider.

    Next steps

    1. Review the Substack web preview and click publish (email will not be sent).
    2. Open the LinkedIn draft to confirm image crop and attribution links.
    3. Paste the contents of the newsletter handoff into your mailing list manager.

    About this skill

You have a draft worth sharing. Articled helps you carry it to the platforms you use, with your words, headings, figures and image order intact.

Start with an X Article, Markdown or plain-text file, an HTML export, a public web page, or pasted text. Choose your destinations: your site or CMS, a newsletter on any platform, Substack, a LinkedIn newsletter, Medium, and social posts. Use the connectors and browser sessions you already have. Choose manual mode to get ready-to-paste content and images, with no publishing tool required.

    What your agent does

    • Reads your source: normalizes text, headings, lists, quotes and images into one reusable article package. Local image paths resolve beside your file; remote fetching needs explicit network permission.
    • Checks before publishing: looks for duplicate posts and protects your existing repo changes. Captures before counts when your site supports them.
    • Prepares your site: works with a repo, your CMS connector or browser, or a manual post-and-images folder. Repo deployment includes sync, typecheck, a clean build and an independent review.
    • Keeps a canonical home: every attribution and teaser links to the article home you choose: your site, Substack, Medium, newsletter web edition or a fixed URL.
    • Writes SEO fields: validates search title and description lengths and keyword placement. Body changes stay your decision.
    • Prepares an unsent newsletter: includes subject, preview, HTML, Markdown, images, closing resources and SEO fields. Use any platform, for example beehiiv, or take one complete handoff file.
    • Prepares cross-posts: Substack stays web only; LinkedIn waits for a full read-back; Medium includes the configured disclosure and keeps member-only off unless you choose otherwise.
    • Checks social limits: prepares one teasers file for X, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon and LinkedIn posts. Choose your platforms and override character limits as needed.
    • Fits your scheduler: for example Typefully, Buffer, Hypefury, Publer or Later. Where supported, save one draft with every enabled platform on; otherwise use one draft per platform. Manual mode gives you the file. Teasers stay unscheduled drafts.
    • Verifies your live site: ten live checks and twelve SEO and AEO checks when the site leg is on. Unsupported checks say skipped; missing evidence says unverified.
    • Reports the handoff: names every live link, saved draft, prepared file and pending action. Updates only the records you ask it to keep.

    Your publishing gates

Your newsletter stays an unsent draft. Substack publication stays web only, with email off checked before and after. Social teasers stay drafts with no schedule. Every live publish waits for a full read-back of text, images, links and settings. Repo deployment needs an independent review and your first-run go-ahead. Manual mode stops with files and a checklist.

    What's included

    • SKILL.md: source selection, destination routing, gates and stop points.
    • Nine reference files: source handling, site preparation, SEO, newsletter, Substack, LinkedIn, Medium, social and closeout.
    • articled_kit.py: standard-library Python for source normalization, SEO validators, ten live checks, twelve index checks and platform-limited teasers.
    • articled.config.example.json: your destinations, modes, canonical home, character limits and optional site endpoints.
