    Art Direction Style Bible

Example session with this skill installed

Art direction for a 3-video TikTok campaign. Product: SAHWA, a Saudi specialty-coffee brand selling single-origin beans and a home pour-over kit, 189 SAR. Audience: Saudi coffee lovers, 24–38, who already buy third-wave coffee. Give me routes I can choose from before we generate anything.

    Tension

Specialty coffee sells as a slow ritual, but TikTok rewards speed. Each route resolves that conflict differently.

    Route A: "First Light" (recommended)

The quiet first cup before the city wakes. Slow, intimate and tactile.

Palette: ground warm basalt #2B2622 (~60%), product kraft and copper (~25%), accent dawn amber #D9893B (~10%), type warm off-white #F4EDE3 (~5%).

Banned: pure white, cool blue, any neon.

Camera: large-format digital emulating 65mm stills. 50mm for context, 100mm macro for the bloom. Focus falls off quickly past the kettle spout. Mostly eye-level at counter height, with one top-down pour.

Lighting: single window key at 4300K from camera-right (the reading side) and a negative fill on the left, around a 4:1 ratio. Steam backlit by a small 3200K practical.

    • Grade: lifted blacks, amber in the highlights, muted greens, low saturation except the copper.
    • Motion grammar: locked-off or a 2–3% push over 5 seconds. No handheld, no whip, nothing faster than the pour.
    • Texture: fine grain, slight halation on highlights, real coffee-oil sheen.
    • Typography: contemporary sans-Arabic in the right third, set in post. Never generated.
    • Negatives: latte art, café crowd, disposable cups, cartoon steam, Western breakfast props.

Continuity locks: same kettle, same mug (matte black, 300ml), same wooden tray in all 3 videos. The morning light angle never changes.

    • Asset identity: hands only (a man's hand with a plain silver ring), so there's no casting risk.

    Route B: "Third Wave Lab"

Coffee as precision craft. Graphic, fast and data-driven.

    • Palette: ground lab white #EDEDEA, product black, accent signal green #2FBF71. Banned: warm wood, steam haze.
    • Camera: 35mm, deep focus, hard top-down and profile angles. Macros of the grind dial and scale.
    • Lighting: hard overhead softbox at 5600K with crisp shadows.
    • Motion: cut on every action beat (0.6–0.8s), whip transitions and on-screen numbers (grams, seconds, °C).
    • Lose if chosen: warmth and emotion, and it drifts toward an equipment ad.

    Recommendation

Make A. The category is sold through ritual, and A owns the morning, which no competitor shoots well. You get speed from the edit (a 1.5-second hook of the bloom) rather than from the look. You lose B's "expert" signal; borrow one B element, a single on-screen number per video ("93°C"), without changing A's look.

    About this skill

Give the skill a brand, audience, product and campaign tension. It turns broad mood words into named creative routes with specific framing, lenses, light, grade, texture, movement, typography space and asset rules.

You receive a style bible and shot-ready specifications, plus a clear recommendation for the route to approve. Frame and motion prompts can then use the same decisions instead of improvising a new look for every shot.

Use campaign mode to compare routes, or single-shot mode to direct one frame or clip. Final route approval remains with you or your client.
