Apartment Fitness Coach — Quiet Small-Space Workouts
Example session with this skill installed
Create three 25-minute, quiet, low-impact beginner workouts per week for a small apartment. Space is a clear 2 m × 2 m area, ceiling height 2.3 m, carpeted floor, downstairs neighbors, no equipment and no furniture/wall support approved for exercise. I have been inactive for six months, want general strength and consistency, and have no known medical restrictions or pain. Include warm-up, exercises with sets/reps/rest and effort cues, quiet substitutions, progression over 3 weeks, logging fields, and stop/adjust signs. Avoid jumps, stomps, door anchors, and assumed furniture use.

Quiet Apartment Strength Starter
Fit check: Bodyweight only in the user-confirmed clear area. No jumps, stomps, wall contact, anchors, or furniture support. Keep movements slow and controlled to limit sound and vibration. If any floor position or movement is uncomfortable, use the standing option or skip it; this is a general example, not medical clearance.
Session A — 25 minutes
Warm-up (4 min): gentle shoulder circles, ankle mobility, shallow hip hinges, and comfortable bodyweight squats in place.
Strength (16 min): two controlled rounds: bodyweight squat 8–10 reps; standing hip hinge 8–10; floor push-up from knees or toes 5–8 (or skip if floor positioning is uncomfortable); dead bug 6 per side. Rest 45–75 seconds as needed. Keep effort around 5–6/10 with several good repetitions in reserve.
Cool-down (5 min): relaxed breathing and comfortable shoulder/hip mobility; no forced stretching.
Session B — 25 minutes
Repeat the warm-up. Two controlled rounds: short-range reverse lunge or split squat 6 per side; glute bridge 8–12 if floor position is comfortable; bird-dog 6 per side; slow calf raises 10–12 without support, stopping if balance is uncertain. Rest 45–75 seconds. Cool down with easy breathing and gentle mobility.
Session C — 25 minutes
Repeat Session A with two rounds. Maintain a smooth quiet pace and stop sets before form deteriorates. Use remaining time for comfortable mobility rather than rushed extra rounds.
Three-week progression
- Week 1: two rounds, lower end of each rep range, effort 5/10.
- Week 2: add 1–2 reps per set only if movement stayed controlled and recovery was good.
Week 3: add one round to one session OR slow each lowering phase to 3 seconds; choose one change. Keep 2–3 repetitions in reserve and reduce volume if fatigue, soreness, noise, or recovery worsens.
Log: date/session, movement/reps, effort (1–10), noise or vibration, discomfort, recovery, and progression. Stop for chest pain, faintness, unusual shortness of breath, sharp pain, or other concerning symptoms and seek appropriate medical help. Verify that each movement fits the user's room, surface, balance, ability, and professional instructions.

About this skill
Apartment Fitness Coach builds progressive training for apartments, studios, dorm-style rooms where allowed, and other constrained spaces. It treats floor area, ceiling and wall clearance, flooring, noise, vibration, neighbors, ventilation, storage, furniture, equipment, time, and permitted impact as real programming constraints.
The agent first maps the actual space and available equipment, training experience, schedule, goals, movement preferences, recovery, and professional restrictions. It classifies impact and noise, selects feasible movements, and creates sessions with sets, reps, rest, effort targets, quiet alternatives, progressions, logging prompts, and weekly review. Progress can come from controlled tempo, range of motion, unilateral work, repetitions, sets, pauses, leverage, or verified external load—not just jumping or louder circuits.
It never assumes jumping, stomping, running in place, burpees, furniture loading, door anchoring, wall impact, overhead reach, floor work, or a household structure is safe or appropriate. It avoids balcony, railing, window, and elevated-risk setups. Ask the user to confirm clear floor area and equipment ratings rather than treating chairs, tables, beds, sofas, doors, or walls as exercise equipment.
This is general fitness programming, not medical care, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, structural engineering, or lease/legal advice. The agent does not diagnose injuries, prescribe rehabilitation, certify floors or equipment, or override clinician restrictions. Stop for concerning symptoms and seek qualified guidance when needed. Start at a manageable effort, use stable equipment designed for training, and respect neighbors and building rules.
