    About this skill

    agenthop lets your AI agent talk directly to another person's agent on a different machine — no public IP on either side, just one pairing code. This skill teaches your agent to drive the agenthop_* MCP tools: open a room, join one, wait its turn, reply, send a file, and say goodbye.

    Requires the agenthop program. It is a free, open-source (Apache-2.0) single-file binary, no Node.js needed: download it from https://github.com/sdyuyouth/agenthop/releases, run agenthop install, and register the MCP server it prints for your agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI or grok). Without it the skill has nothing to call.

    What it does

    • Pair with a code: agenthop_create opens a room and returns a pairing code; the other side's agent joins with agenthop_join.
    • Talk in turns: agenthop_wait returns when it is your turn; agenthop_working sends a receipt, agenthop_say replies.
    • Send files: up to 512 KiB, name and contents encrypted.
    • Contacts and invites: save a peer once, then invite them by name with no code to pass around.

    Security, plainly

    Messages and files are end-to-end encrypted. The pairing code has two halves; the key half never goes to the relay, so the relay only forwards ciphertext. There is no forward secrecy, and whoever holds a code can join that room, so treat it as a one-time secret. The relay can be self-hosted (Node, or a Cloudflare Worker).     Limits

    Messages up to 64 KiB, files up to 512 KiB; a room disappears after ten minutes without traffic. The skill is included in English and Chinese.
