    HandoffPilot is a $19 local workflow skill for developers who need to pause agent-assisted work without losing the reasoning that matters. The /handoff workflow creates a structured Markdown scaffold in .claude/handoffs/ from current repository state; the agent then fills the observed plan, decisions, failed attempts, blockers, open questions, and next steps. The /resume workflow reads only the newest handoff, summarizes it, asks “Continue where we left off?”, and then checks the current branch and worktree for drift before work continues. If no handoff was created, /recover can build a best-effort reconstruction from transcript cues plus current repository state, with provenance and path checks so uncertain details stay visible. The package includes the HandoffPilot SKILL.md, reusable templates, recovery guidance, sample handoff and recovery outputs, a Python helper for create/latest/recover, and installation instructions. Files stay local; the skill does not need a cloud account or network access. Use it before a context reset, after a weekend, when switching compatible coding agents, or when a prior session ended unexpectedly.
